（02）The Horror Market Writer and the Ten Bears: A True Story：Writer's Digest（1973年11月号）に掲載されたエッセイ。

（08）How IT Happened：ブック・オブ・ザ・マンス・クラブの会報（1986年10月号）に掲載されたエッセイ。

（11） "Ever Et Raw Meat?" and Other Weird Questions：The New York Times Book Review（1987年12月6日号）に掲載されたエッセイ。同誌の公式サイトで全文が公開されている。Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone Magazine（1988年6月号）に再録されたほか、Letters from Hell という題名で、1988年にブロードシートの形態でリリースされた（500部限定or26部限定、キングの署名入り）。
